[mythtv-users] Mythwelcome refuses shutdown

I'm having the same problem described in 
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/557330 .

On combined master backend/frontend running fixes/0.27 the mythwelcome 
log shows 'Suspending idle timer / Resuming idle timer' every 30 
seconds.  Shutting down manually works but without manual intervention 
the box just stays on after waking to record.
