At present my TV seems to flag a changed channel lineup every few days.
I get DVB-T/T2 from a single main-chain Freeview UK transmitter. In
MythTV I delete all channels and rescan all known multiplexes, with
timeout disabled and links to other detected muxes enabled. It all goes
smoothly, and only the download of icons has seemed in need of some
attention; stuartm has been active there in the last few days, but I
don't yet have the updates.

I suspect that most transmitters don't yet have the second DVB-T2 mux,
but that this will be detected by this procedure, with a T2 capable
tuner receiving the first T2 mux, when transmissions become available.
In case of difficulty it really helps to know the frequencies of the
muxes/transports you want and delete (D) all others. ukfree.tv is
usually helpful, and repeating the scan with a compatible set of muxes
enabled should produce no change. Simultaneous reception of both T2
muxes will, of course, require two (real) tuners.

I run mythtvsetup from a kde konsole. That shows a full channel list,
with frequencies and ID numbers, when the process is complete.
