It does seem a little trigger happy.  I haven't often done 
before-and-after comparisons of the Myth channel lists, but I think it's 
usually a minor change in one of the shopping channels.  Sometimes 
Mythbackend tells me to 'rescan your channels' because the PAT has 
changed, and sometimes the EIT parser complains too

The TV does find weaker signals from a repeater carrying identical 
programming but ignores them during its post-scan sort.
