[mythtv-users] Computer hangs with "Please wait..." when playing recordings or watching TV

Personally, I've seen this happen under the following conditions:
- The backend is extremely busy (load average is HIGH, like 8+)
- There is a lot of disk I/O activity, usually due to errors)
- The network is flaky for some reason (switch related issues)
- The frontend CPU load is really high (runaway process or something).

On my frontend systems, Fedora will eventually pop up a prompt to
terminate the process.

If you get in via SSH, can you do a "pkill -9 mythfrontend"? (-TERM may
or may not work, -9 is like yanking the carpet out from underneath it)
