As a RH person I don't know ubuntu/apt but I suspect you aren't pulling down the latest package. Check your repos - are you pointing to a repo that contains .27 ?

Subject: [mythtv-users] 0.27 Upgrade - What am I doing wrong?
Hello,
I have a 0.25 BE running on Ubuntu 12.10 which I am trying to upgrade to 0.27, but I’m obviously doing something wrong….
Here’s what I did:
1. Shutdown the BE
2. Back up the database
3. Install the timezone tables required by 0.26 and above (http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/MySQL_Time_Zone_Tables)
4. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mythbuntu/0.27
5. sudo apt-get update
6. sudo apt-get install mythtv (which tells me mythtv is already the latest version)
7. mythsetup (only Step 1 General, without changing anything)
8. Restart the BE
9. Mythbackend –version tells me the version is still v0.25.2-15g46cab93
What am I doing wrong please?
Thanks
Mark
