Thanks Mike, makes sense and works. This way I end up with a kind of mix
between navigation by filesystem folders and video display with metadata,
which is OK.

Now - is there a chance/demand for grouping TV shows in any of the "browse
by" views? For example I like browsing by genre as it puts most videos
into multiple genres (e.g. The Fifth Element shows up under Adventure,
Fantasy, Action, Thriller and Science Fiction), making it easier to find a
movie if one's not sure which genre it is in. Navigating by filesystem
folders makes the video available in one place only.

But the current "browse by genre" mode dumps a long list of hundreds of
"Bob the Builder" episodes into the "Animation" genre, making it a
frustrating experience to scroll down to "Tintin". So I'd like to see just
one "Bob the Builder" entry in the "Animation" category, grouping all
seasons and episodes under it. I don't know how others manage this?
