Hi,

One very likely reason is that the PCI is known not to work with some 
recent Intel chipsets. I had similar problem bt848 tv card and Intel 
DH67CL motherboard. The tv card dropped signal partially every ten 
minutes or so and after few minutes it came back on-line. I spent few 
days debugging the problem and finally reverted to old configuration.
