Agreed!  For me the ideal FE is not "small and quiet" but rather "small 
and silent".  Some of my FEs are in cabinets and I have never found a 
system with a fan that wasn't too loud!

When it comes to silent HD the list of options grows _very_ short, with 
a couple of fanless IONs being the only things I have found.  I was 
really keen on the CrystalHD stuff, given it would allow a much wider 
set of fanless motherboards to be used, but sadly never could make it 
work :(
