Which is sort of interesting, since this *particular* issue was introduced
after the 20120405 release, but then again, you were backlevel in
firmware, so you might have been seeing completely different firmware
issues. The complete list of fixes from your release to the more recent
can be found on the SiliconDust download pages.

Well, as I said above, I am not sure this is the same issue, but
as mentioned by Kenni here, and others on other lists, this
particular issue is that there is a regression somewhere in the
0.25 time frame(*) that ends up generating rapid pid filter changes.
Depending on the stream (and only some streams) this generated
glitches in the stream (i.e. pixelation). That it seemed to depend
on the particular stream apparently made it really hard to track
down by SiliconDust, but they deserve a *lot* of credit for rapidly
rolling out a fix once the problem was identified (even though, in
all honesty, the root cause seems to be in MythTV itself). When
it comes down to firmware updates (which requires extensive
regression testing), a week or so is almost a miracle time frame.

(*) I am trying to do a git bisect to identify the specific patches,
although it seems like there are actually a couple of ones that
are involved in getting to around 10/s.
