[mythtv-users] Is there a script to generate schedule from list of titles?

Is this a stupid thing to do?

We primarily use XMBC to watch our movies and mthtv to record. We have
used XBMC for years, but mythTV for just a few months. Perhaps I should
consider synching the XBMC and mythtv databases so that from mythTV I
can easily see if I already have a recording of a movie. Using the new
XBMC tag feature I could tag movies for rerecording. I could use that
tag to tell mythtv to rerecord it.

I see that there was a tool, FillMythMetadata.pl in 0.23 of MythTV that
I might be able to accomplish this. XBMC already exports to .nfo, so if
I could import the .nfo files and recognize special tags to trigger a
rerecording then I could have a pretty nice system. I could perhaps have
a script that could tag a list of movies for rerecording.

For good measure I would like a tool to create .nfo files for recordings
in mythtv to simplify the import into XBMC.

Looks like a lot of fun. And a lot of work. My wife won't see me for months.
