Not that this will help with your current issue, but note that you can 
move recordings from a directory in one Storage Group to a directory in 
/any/ Storage Group (the same or different).  The only requirement is 
that the file, in its new location, must be visible to the same 
recording host.  (So you can move between Storage Groups, just not 
between hosts.)
