Hello,

I also experience audio drop outs on digital audio in myth.

Until a couple of weeks ago, I was using a front/backend, with a nvidia 
card connected to the 5.1 receiver via HDMI and using HDMI audio. The 
drop outs were also causing the clicking reconfiguration sound from the 
receiver as described by a fellow poster in this thread. That was quite 
annoying.

Now I am using a new frontend in the living room, with another nvidia 
card, connected directly to the monitor using DVI and connected to the 
5.1 receiver using optical out from the motherboard's audio device. I 
would say that the drop outs are more seldom, I cannot give numbers, but 
for sure they are less annoying because the receiver will just continue 
playing, so the drop outs are much shorter. Not long enough bother and 
to follow up.

On another frontend I am using analog audio and I never have drop outs.

I will stay tuned, if a solution is suggested, I still will try it out!
