Remember that SSDs have a preset write cycle life, so your total 
capacity is equivalent to your expected lifetime.  Larger size means 
more room to perform write balancing.  More free space means less write 
amplification from internally relocating files.  For a backend where 
you're constantly writing to the database, 8GB is absolutely too small.  
For a dedicated frontend where the only thing you have is logs and the 
theme cache, 8GB would probably be sufficient.
