FWIW, when you want to delete all channels, I highly recommend "Delete 
all video sources", as it clears out all channels /and/ "linked" 
information in other related tables.  Deleting the channels, alone, can 
leave some stuff in place that can get in the way of a good 
rescan/reconfiguration.
