If you open MCC and select "Repositories" and change it to 0.27
then go to "System Updates" and select "Update Manager" and Check for
updates
then select "Install Updates", it fails part way through, I don't
remember the exact errors, something about dependencies maybe?

This appears to all be done through MCC, perhaps ultimately the Update
Manager isn't part of MCC, but it feels like it's all part one interface
to the casual user.

Anyway the solution, as I understood it, was to open a terminal and do
apt-get dist-upgrade, which is not obvious to a novice.

I don't know that anything is broken, it's just that what seems like the
obvious path to upgrading to 0.27 isn't the correct path to upgrading to
0.27. So if you come across Mythbuntu today and want to try it with the
latest version of MythTV, you can do everything through the gui except
this one relatively obscure step.

To get back to the topic, I just thought that mentioning the path to
0.27 by name in the Highlights section might make it seem more current,
but then I thought the caveats might be worth mentioning at the same time.

I like Mythbuntu and wholeheartedly recommend it. It has the least
amount of caveats of all the distributions I have tried. Thanks to the devs.
