I have managed to enable HW acceleration in Firefox Flash. It helped a
bit (the video started replaying smoother) but in a few seconds it
stopped completely and I had to kill Firefox from command line. So this
is not the way to go.

So HTML5 in Chrome is too slow, accelerated Firefox Flash 11.2 freezes,
Myth doesn't accelerate Flash at all, Firefox cannot understand
mythflash URL scheme and Google Chrome cannot be switched back to Flash
Youtube player.

I think that the right workaround for me now would be to set up
MythFrontend to use its Internal web browser for plain HTML and external
configurable browser for Youtube (and other Flash) videos. Then I would
set up Google Chrome with its HW accelerated Flash 11.9 to run in full
screen application mode somehow (and force it to use Flash on Youtube
again) and let MythFrontend call that instead of the weird mythflash
scheme.

The reason for such complicated setup is clear - the Internal browser
rules for HTML browsing, can be controlled by RC and has reasonable zoom
mode. The Chrome, OTOH, can replay Youtube videos in fullscreen.

Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

Petr
