[mythtv-users] file to flash

Greetings Mythizens, I'd like to be able to transfer files to a flash
drive without the commercials. I run MythTV 0.27 inside a 12.04 LTS
Ubuntu combined FE/BE desktop environment. I have a symlink in my home
folder to mythtv, through which I can manipulate files, but even after
transcoding them, which removes the ads when played in Mythtv, the ads
are transferred with the file when manipulated through the GUI. What
would be a good way to accomplish my goal?
