So you're not directly a Comcast customer?  That complicates things.

Except it doesn't even work with TiVo.  At least not fully.  For Copy
Once programs, TiVo can record and play them on the individual unit
that did the recording.  If you want to use TiVo's multi-room-viewing
feature so that you can watch a recording from one unit on another
unit on the same LAN, then it won't be able to do that unless the
program is marked Copy Freely.
