For those who wish to get in early on the action, I have a bug to
track 0.27 on Gentoo at:

I'm still fixing libdir issues (ugh - the build system has always
ignored the configure setting --libdir for various sub-modules), but
I'll post what I have as it progresses there (to avoid bugspam I
probably won't post any attachments until this afternoon).
