Correct, it is the NIC on those MBs. Yes, it probably is a software
issue, however, it is a sw issue consistent between two different MBs,
both using 1G NICs and Intel i3 CPU. (I am still hoping for a sw fix,
in this state, my system is barely usable due to shutdown/startup issues.)
