I originally copied and pasted the whole line above.  For some reason it
pasted in as two instructions.
Sorry.
So now I have typed it in.  the backend starts with no feedback whatsoever.

This is what I am getting in the backend log now.

Feb 22 10:11:22 mythbackend mythlogserver: mythbackend[11401]: I RingBuffer

safe_read(... at 2675160, 1048576) -> 65424, took 60 ms (8.7232Mbps)

I really hope I got it right this time.
