Even though MythTV handles their data as is you may still be interested
in the benefits of a proper grabber. I started to collect some thoughts
on the why and how at

Thanks all for your responses to this thread. It seems we now have a good free alternative in Joakim Nylén's excellent pan-Scandinavian server (see  tv_grab_no_gfeed data thread) as well as the option to pay for the timefor.tv service.
