I don't think the adapter is changing numbers. I have an old PCI card a
Hauppauge T500 and the 290e. Output below suggests that the 209e is
really /dev/dvb/adapter3/frontend0. Yes, I have also tried scanning
using the other adapters just in case they got mixed up:) Result is
always the same SD channels OK, but no HD ones.
I have also tried running the adapter on a separate computer with no
other DVB cards, using Kaffeine. In fact when I received it that's how I
tested it out. It worked OK then, but now can't pick up the HD channels.
Arch has had a kernel update since I originally had it all working, but
reverting to the old kernel made no difference.
