Hi Leif,

About 18 months ago, I purchased a receiver (for a previous generation
Intel DH67CF mobo, but same specs) from
http://shop.inteset.com/remotes-receivers.

Now, unfortunately, I just visited that site to confirm it was the
correct one, and there is now a message there saying that they've sold
out of the CIR receiver modules, and won't be making any more.

At the time I was looking, they were the only supplier I could find of
receiver modules for motherboard CIR. I never noticed anyone selling
transmitter / emitter modules, but as my FE doesn't need one, I didn't
look that hard.

For reasons too stupid to mention, the module is not inside the FE
machine at the moment, so I just had a look at it. It looks identical
(and probably is except for the mobo end cable pinout) to the one still
pictured on the inteset site for asrock mobos.
It is centered around a LM393 'Dual Differential Comparator'
http://www.ti.com/product/lm393 , along with 10 resistors, 4 capacitors,
the actual IR receiver, and also an indicator led, and another different
IR receiver for learning.

Hopefully that gives you some idea if you want to build your own. I'll
probably go ahead and trace out the circuit for my own interest anyway,
as this mention of it has reminded me that I need to get it back working
in the FE.

Regards,
Simon
