[mythtv-users] "Whitescreen" on start in 0.27

I know I haven't changed the painter option. I also get the white screen
but the desktop image is not white. I also get some background coming
through and areas not updated when moving around the front end as per other
posters.

I installed myth buntu 12.04 completely fresh on an atom/ion as a interim
solution and haven't touched the default settings (didn't migrate an old
dB)... I will check it later and hope it will fix a few of these things but
I am wondering if this is the default in mythbuntu?
