Check the headers of your email when it gets bounced back from mailman.  
Thunderbird, Outlook, iOS mail, Squirrelmail, and RoundCubeMail all 
populate this (admittedly optional) header field. I've not actually 
found a client that doesn't, although I haven't been intentionally 
looking, and emails to the list that are lacking that field typically do 
not report a client.
