my Uninterruptable Power Supply started beeping.
There was no power cut, so I was confused by this. I have since tried
My guess is that the Power Supply in the computer has died and needs
I've never heard of a UPS beeping because the thing that is drawing power from them stops drawing power. A UPS would normally beep if it loses mains power, or if the battery failed a self-test. It would depend on exactly which model UPS you have.
Some will beep if there is a short circuit, or overload, or earth leakage problem.
