It looks like the original disk was partitioned with MBR record. But for<br>
soie reason my Ubuntu installation thought it was GPT partition and so did<br>
not overwrite the MBR. Is there a way to force Mythbuntu 12.04 to write the<br>
MBR after the installation is complete. Do I need to run grub-update or<br>
something like that?<br>

</blockquote><br></div>It looks like the HP Recovery manager restores the MBR wiping the GRUB2
out after installation. As suggested by some of the websites, I even
removed the HP recovery partition after making backup disks. That did
not seem to help either. After a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04, it keeps
booting into windows instead of bringing up the GRUB boor menu :-(<br><br>Any other ideas?
