<br><br><br></div>Jean-Yves,<br><br><br></div>For my mythfrontends in other rooms, I'm streaming directly from the backend, but the affected recordings have this problem even on the combination mythbackend/mythfrontend machine where the drives physically reside. Also, it's only certain specific recordings that have the problem, and other recordings on the same drive work fine. I had been looking at the output of -v playback, but I'll try enabling the full debug and see what pops up. I agree that the message seems to say that it's having trouble reading the file, but I can read the files fine from a command line, and so forth, so that doesn't appear to be the case. When you say that you suggest a newer version, are you referring to the development version, or are you talking about the most current 0.27 with fixes?<br>

</div>Try getting your hand on an newer version of mythtv than what<br>
RPMfusion provides. You'll find that a log ot things have been<br>
improved in the past couple of weeks.<br>

Having said that, the issue here is myth not being able to read from<br>
the hard drive for more than 10s... Are you using NFS by any chance?<br>
if so, don't.. Stream from the backend.<br>

If you run your frontend with -v file --loglevel=debug you'll be able<br>
to see how long it takes for the frontend to read the hard drive<br>
