Everything seems to work fine

No sound at first. I installed pulseaudio and then found, with alsa-mixer, that the main channel was muted. I don't think this was muted before, so maybe installing pulse jarred something loose. Or I just missed it.

Perforance

Excellent with SD, and the menus perform great at 1080p. Video at 1080p is un-watchable. So far I am close to a vanilla installation, so tweaking and video driver flags, etc... might be required. In theory it should work. I'll have to try it in windows.

Noise Level

Pretty darn quiet, but not as quiet as I expected. You still have hard drive noise, and a bit of fan noise. I'm not sure yet if this thing can boot from its internal SD card reader - if it can, I'd just pick up an 8gb card and yank the hard drive.
