This MythAutomation page is a test bed for incorporating home automation into the MythTV interface. The first few concepts being thrown around are the use of LIRC to generate X-10 control signals with basic command-line utilities. As this project matures the hope is to have a integrated module that brings aboard the essence of home automation control.

Brainstorm

Work with a complete Linux X-10 device driver to the X-10? Might have a more stable and integrated feel.

Maybe something light weight like Heyu's text interface to CM11A and CM17A supporting Linux, Unix, MacOS X would be easier for online configuration?
