Caveats for this script:

  • Requires the directory structure to have no special characters (in particular, won't escape a space)
  • Requires you to manually create the directory /home/mythtv/.mythtv/MythVideo and any subdirectories

I had problems getting -ss X to work. The Quicktime/MOV MP4s played just fine, but skipping forward gave me errors and black frames. Since they were just home movies, I dropped the -ss flag and argument, and they worked fine. Thegonk 20:57, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Just an FYI, .22 has a separate DB field and UI image for screenshot (.22 images are coverfile, screenshot, fanart, and banner). It's also about 99% likely that the preview images will be automatically generated in MythVideo by then too.
