Tido, I'm the developer in charge of maintaining mythfilldatabase. I don't think you've understood what I've previously said on this issue, or what the warning I've added to that page means. What you are doing is not wrong, but it is not approved by the developers either. For the last two years we've preferred that importing data into MythTV be done through the use of a standard compliant XMLTV grabber. Your scripts and cron jobs could easily be re-written into an XMLTV grabber which would be run automatically by mythbackend without the need for a cron job etc.

Hi GBee, went roughly through this tutorial. HELP ! I have never worked with this GRABBER and it seems to me more a thing of hours if not days to get it run. If I change my mind and go for this, will you support me? Tido 10:23, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
