Personal

I don't remember exactly when I starting using MythTV. I know I started using Linux in college. Probably somewhere around 1998. A fellow CS guy introduced me to it my freshmen year. I locked myself in my dorm room for a month so I would be better then him at it. Lately I've been active on the pcHDTV forums helping people work out their driver issues.

My Setup

A WinTV Radio (standard bttv) and pcHDTV card are in a desktop case with a Biostar M7NCG 400 for the mainboard. The chip is a mobile 2800XP that will clock up to 2.2Ghz or so easily (needed for HDTV playback). The WinTV card is hooked up via s-video to a SA3250 box from Time Warner, switched via an irblaster. The output device is an Infocus X1 hooked up via VGA. I finally got Fedora Core 3 installed and both cards playing nicely.

Contacting

I check my email quite regularly, so use that. I'm a nice friendly person, I swear. I'm always up for a chat on MythTV or other worldly geek topics over a Spot Latte. If any one in the area is interested in setting up a MUG meeting, get at me.
