Module Conflicts
On Debian (Etch) of about November 2006 I had issues initially loading the DVB drivers for this card, a symptom was the following error.
dvb_bt8xx: unable to determine DMA core of card 0, dvb_bt8xx: if you have the ALSA bt87x audio driver installed, try removing it. dvb-bt8xx: probe of dvb0 failed with error -14
In my case the suggestion regarding the ALSA driver was incorrect, and my problems where infact being caused by btaudio.ko. Instructing linux not to load this module solved my issues and allowed drivers to load successfully.
