howdy. i recently installed myth on a box that i had just sitting around. lovin' it! except for the part about the remote, which i have yet to get working, but hopefully that will change soon. ( edit 8/30/207 ) its finally working. I compiled from source following the directions located here

at some point, i'll post info about my setup here, and once i have everything configured and working, i plan on installing the computer, as well as a surround sound amplifier into an old stereo cabinet from the 1970's. once that happens, i'll post some pics of it too.

Side note: As of july 2007, I'm somewhat new to editing wikis. This will explain why most of my posts look ametuerish, lack formating and so on. Sorry. I'll try to keep those posts to a minimum, and let the more experienced users edit the main pages. Mostly, i'll keep my posts to the discussions pages, and leave the main page editing to someone more experienced. While I'm not currently contributing to the mythtv project as far as development, I do plan on getting my fingers dirty with a lil' code. If i produce anything I like, I'll post it somewhere I'm sure. At the moment, I'm working on reorganizing and reconfiguring my lircrc file as well as a spreadsheet detailing the keybindings, at least a lil' better than what the wiki page offers. I'm sure once thats done, i'll make some noise about it. Also, when i have time to figure out this wiki thing, I'll make this page purtier. cheese.
