My MythTV


Fedora 7 ATRPMs install with the following modifications:


Compiled MPEG4IP by applying patches
Custom RPMBUILD of ffmpeg with AMR
Custom RPMBUILD of amrnb and amrwb (Autodownloads AMR files)
Custom SPEC files for ffmpeg and amr[nw]b
Custom /usr/bin/myth3gp
Custom /usr/bin/mythexpire.pl
Had to manually add static ffmpeg libraries (rpmbuild –bc then make install)
Stop nasd service, it conflicts with Darwin
Installed priorities plugin from centos
Custom spec file for mpeg4ip (2 custom patches)
Installed cpufreq package to control fan noise (use userspace governor with 66% max speed)
Installed darwin streaming server  (Only works with quicktime!)
Manually compiled the ieee1394 firewire modules (make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build M=`pwd`)
Manually compiled firewire_tester (gcc -Wall -o firewire_tester firewire_tester.c -liec61883 -lraw1394)
Transcode every file to a 3gp in /video/mobile for viewing on cellphones (uses ffmpeg with static libraries compiled in called ffmpeg3gp)
Manually compiled firewire_tester from SVN, used to reset firewire bus at startup
latest ivtv drivers from v4l to fix closed captioning problems
XvMC causes stuttering and sound problems with current ivtv drivers and/or v4l drivers
