Activy Media Center is all-in-one HTPC made by Fujitsu Siemens. I (Tapio Kautto) own an AMC 570 with two budget DVB-T cards, and have installed the device as a frontend/backend combination, but I'm planning to use this device as a frontend only, once I'll have time to install Linux/MythTV to my main media machine. Instructions here are tested with Mythbuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala.

- Firewire connection
- USB connectors on front and back
- Futaba card reader
Tuner Cards
Tuner cards on this device are budget cards. Because the manufacturer (Philips if I'm correct) has not released specs about the cards, you need card firmware for to make them work. If MythTV backend shows no signal when you try to scan channels, it's very likely that you are missing the firmware. Install the firmware:

AMC has Futaba dm-140gink Demo display, which is not supported by LCDproc 0.5.3. There is, however, a patch available. Futaba wikipage contains information how to make the VFD work.
