Realtek ALC850 Information

  • 7.1 channel audio codec RealTek ALC850.
  • Compliance with AC97 v2.3 Spec.
  • Meet PC2001 audio performance requirement.

asoundrc File

Save the following script as .asoundrc in the home folder of the user(s) that will be running mythfrontend.

MythTV Setup

Now, once the file is saved start/restart mythfrontend.

Go to Utilities/Setup -> Setup -> General and for Audio output device put ALSA:digital.
