Satellite Astra 19,2 (Europe)
DVB-S bring a lot of channels, and their channel numbers are not in a useful order for daily use. You can change the channel numbers in MythWeb for some of your favourite programs, but as soon as you re-scan the channels (which you need to do every year oir so, when the satellite provider re-positions one of your favourite programs), you will end up again in entropy.
Here is a solution, derived from scenario for U.K. [1], for two receivers, one DVB-S for Astra 19,2 and one DVB-T. First, be sure, that you have scanned all your channels (see the german MythTV community page [2]).
Create a file chan_numbers_update_AT.sql with an SQL statement in each line like this:
USE mythconverg; UPDATE channel SET channum=1 WHERE name='ORF1'; UPDATE channel SET channum=2 WHERE name='ORF2'; UPDATE channel SET channum=3 WHERE name='ORF2E'; UPDATE channel SET channum=4 WHERE name='GoTV'; UPDATE channel SET channum=5 WHERE name='ATV+';
Extend as you like. For spelling the channel names correctly, you may want to look up your channels.conf file.
Open a terminal and enter
mysql -uroot -p mythconverg < chan_numbers_update_AT.sql > output.tab
You will be asked for the mySQL root password, which you have set at the MythTV installation process.
That's it. I needed to restart the MythTV backend and frontend and then LiveTV allowed me just to enter a number like 4 + Return to switch to GoTV.
