Installing MythTV
Binary packages are available for a variety of platforms if you would like to forgo compiling MythTV from source and just get down to business recording TV.
There are also various MythTV specific distributions if you plan to build a dedicated appliance(s).

MythBuntu
Mythbuntu is an community supported add-on for Ubuntu focused upon setting up a standalone MythTV based PVR system. It can be used to prepare a standalone system or for integration with an existing MythTV network.
MythDora
MythDora is a Fedora and MythTV "All-In-One" DVD. The install will load a pre-configured Fedora 10 installation on your computer as well as install and configure MythTV. There are many extras included with MythDora.
KnoppMyth
KnoppMyth includes MythTV and all its official plugins. In addition, KnoppMyth includes Apache, NFS, Samba, and various other daemons. Everything one needs to easily setup a power home entertainment system is included.
Packages
Fedora / Red Hat / CentOS
There are MythTV packages for Fedora available from both RPM Fusion and ATrpms. These repositories are not compatible with each other, so you'll have to take your pick between them.

Debian

Mac OS X
Various versions of MythTV for Mac OS X are available, including both frontend and backend and up to version 0.21-fixes and trunk. Packages are available at TheSniderPad.com.
