I agree, it is far too big.  Dividing it up into sub-chapters sounds like a good idea to me.<br>

Okay, I did the subchaptering. I think it is a little tidier now. We can always use this same tactic should the need arise. --[[User:Gregturn|Gregturn]] 05:01, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

It looks to me like 90% of the information is in the 'Utilities and Setup' section.  The 'Daily Usage' chapter of the manual seems to cover the rest of the sections.  It would make more sense for the 'Frontend Configuration' chapter to only deal with the 'Utilities and Setup' since that is where all the configuration takes place.  I am going to reorganize this section to deal with that.  Since the 'Daily Usage' chapter badly needs to be divided I will put the other subsections like 'Watch TV' under that chapter.  If there is a problem with this let me know, and the changes can always be reverted. --[[User:Malban|Malban]] 10 March 2007

Formatting this page

The formatting on this page is starting to get ugly. The headings for some sections are tiny and difficult to scan. If no one objects, I'll start making it look more like User_Manual:Detailed_configuration_Backend.

Cool , backend section looks really nice

--Mikec 08:10, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

I did this section User_Manual:Detailed_configuration_Frontend#Database_Configuration_1. Unfortunately, I can't figure out a way to put a section heading in a table. So, by reformatting the entire page like this, there will be less stuff in the TOC (not such a bad thing in my opinion). I thought a table per page would work out OK for the setup pages.

The backend section is nice, and I agree, having one table per screen-page of the setup program is a cool approach. --Baylink 20:44, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

Agree Looks nice... Now for some more content... --Mikec 21:39, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

We may want to consider making the frontend setup a separate page from the rest of the frontend stuff. The reason I say this is that while the frontend menus change based on whether the "default" or "classic" menu theme is selected, the setup menus (once you navigate to them) stay the same with both themes. There could be one page for each of the "default" and "classic" menu themes that both link to the same setup page.

This article is huge. Currently it is one "chapter" amongst another series of articles, and the navigation templates steer to previous and next. It is possible to chop up this thing into a sub-chapter. User Manual:Index still has just one link to this article. But this article in turn could be a table of contents into 10 sub-chapters (what I counted on the TOC). We can have two navigation templates on each subchapter, the main one navigates between previous and next "main" chapter, and the second one between previous and next "sub" chapter. Assuming this is sub-chapter "Media Library" (section 1.2 in this article), the top of it would look like:

I agree, it is far too big. Dividing it up into sub-chapters sounds like a good idea to me.
