The current timetable for the release of MythTV 0.27 is:
alpha July 21th Only bug fixes * Soft freeze for translatable strings. * beta August 3rd Only critical bug fixes allowed after this date. rc0 August 10th Release Candidate. If critical bug fix required, we will cut new rc and wait another week. * Hard freeze for translatable strings. * rc1-x As needed release RC becomes release when no bug fix required for one week.
As always these dates are subject to change if the resolution of some critical/blocker bugs needed it.

I'm happy to announce the release of LinHES R7.4 "rdt". LinHES R7.4, marks the ninth anniversary of the first release of KnoppMyth. Much thanks to Isaac and all the MythTV developers. Thanks to all that have used KnoppMyth and LinHES through out the years.

The LinHES team and I are happy to announce the release of R7.3 (Crave).
ARTICLE - Linux Format 159 (July 2012 issue) has a two page review of MythTV 0.25. Generally a positive review although it seems they had problems getting the latest version of Mythbuntu working. They did say the oldish hardware they were using probably didn't help. Anyway to sum up, they gave it the following score:- Features 10/10 Performance 10/10 Ease of use 2/10 Documentation 10/10
