Recording Status Character

The Recording Status Character is used as a short, easy-to-display notification of the status of a recording in several locations throughout MythTV, such as the Previously Recorded screen in mythfrontend and the mythbackend --printsched output. The characters include:

Recording Status Character Meaning Notes
R Recorded (or Recording) The showing was recorded or is currently being recorded.
P Previously Recorded This episode was previously recorded according to the duplicate policy chosen for this title.
A Aborted This showing was recorded but was aborted before completion.
E Earlier Showing This episode will be recorded at an earlier time instead.
L Later Showing This episode will be recorded at a later time instead.
x Inactive This recording rule is inactive.
X Don't Record This showing was manually set to not record.
V Never Record This episode was marked to never be recorded.
C Conflicting This episode was not recorded because another program with a higher priority was recorded.
T Too Many recordings Too many recordings of this program (according to the max episodes specified by the recording rule) have already been recorded.
N Not Listed This rule does not match any showings in the current program listings. (The listings data changed since the recording rule was created and the episode scheduled to record did not air as described by the recording rule.)
F Recorder Off Line The required recorder is off-line.
c Cancelled This showing was not recorded because it was manually cancelled.
M Missed This showing was not recorded because the master backend was not running.
r Repeat This episode is a repeat.
K Low Disk Space This showing was not recorded because there wasn't enough disk space.
B Tuner Busy This showing was not recorded because the recorder was already in use.
f Failed This showing was not recorded because the recorder failed.
