Talk:Vizio VX37L

I have a Vizio VX37L HDTV10A (from Costco).

I am using Ubuntu Feisty V7.04, with their mythtv-frontend standard install, on a ASUS M2NPV-VM motherboard. I found the listed ModeLine to be shifted to the left by about an inch.

I used videogen to generate a ModeLine which is centered and works well at 1360x768 (horizontal must be multiple of 8)

It is:

   # 84 MHz, 48.5 kHz, 60.0 Hz
   Modeline "1360x768" 84.16 1360 1400 1448 1736 768 770 772 808 -hsync -vsync

The Monitor Section Follows:

 Section "Monitor"
   # "Vizio VX37L LCD 720p 1360x768"
   Identifier "Vizio VX37L"
   VendorName "Vizio"
   ModelName "Vizio VX37L HDTV10A"
   HorizSync 31.0 - 70.0
   VertRefresh 50.0 - 85.0
   # 84 MHz, 48.5 kHz, 60.0 Hz
   Modeline "1360x768" 84.16 1360 1400 1448 1736 768 770 772 808 -hsync -vsync
   Option "DPMS"
 EndSection

Note: I have the same TV, and I was able to use the setup from the article after changing the ModeValidation to "NoWidthAlignmentCheck, NoDFPNativeResolutionCheck".

This article also works perfectly for the VW37L TV & a nVidia 6600 on Mythbuntu 8.10
