Tribune Media Services (http://www.tribunemediaservices.com/) is a subsidiary of the Tribune Company, the media conglomerate which publishes, among other things, the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Founded by Tribune in 1933 as a News Syndication service its Entertainment Products Division collects and distributes television and movie scheduling data in 40 countries. It boasts "22,000 channels and we known what's on every one". TV scheduling data is provided by networks, television stations, cable providers and satellite providers to TMS, which 'cleans' and aggregates the data on its servers. It then provides organized sets of data in print, on-screen or on-line in a variety of formats to its customers, including newspapers, guide publications and electronic program guide providers, including cable and set-top-boxes.

Tribune Media Services is the source provider for the Electronic Program Guide data provided by Schedules Direct and the on-line zap2it.com website guide.
