This is an external component capture box announced by Hauppauge in 2007. The box records at up to 1080i, encodes to MP4AVC (H.264) at up to 13.5Mbps, and is controlled by USB 2.0. This is an alternative to CableCard based tuners, and allows capture of encrypted digital cable channels via the "analog hole" and your cable box's video output.
