The Logitech Harmony 880 is an expensive, computer-progrmable remote control. I found it invaluable for controling my home theater system when I had many separate devices (Set Top Box PVR, TV, AV Receiver, DVD Player, VCR, DVD Recorder, upnp Media Player, CD Player, XM Radio). With MythTV replacing most of those devices, it is now a bit of an overkill.
