Welcome to the information and documentation wiki for MythTV! We're here to provide a forum (though not a 'forum' :-) for collaborative documentation of the MythTV project, an open source software Personal Video Recorder. It lets you build a box similar to a TiVo or ReplayTV, but much more powerful - and more easily modified.

The current version is 0.18; a feature freeze has been declared for the release of 0.19 after all the bugs are squashed. If you upgrade, and want to write up your adventures, please tag them with [[Category:Upgrading]], so everyone can find them, and title as suggested on the Category page.

Because this site is a wiki, you can edit (almost) any page yourself if you find a mistake, or have more to add. While there are some late changes and new pages yet to move, this site is pretty much open for business now. There will still be lots of dust on the floor for the next little while, but if you haven't already set up an account, please do so, and forge ahead. Even if you have worked on a wiki before, check out the Wiki Quick Start, or, at least, the Manual of Style. Pointers are starting to appear there on how to best interact with MediaWiki, our new wiki software, for those who don't have any Wikipedia experience.
