OpenGL (Open Graphics Library) is an API for writing applications that produce both 2D and 3D graphics. MythUI will use OpenGL to render menus starting with version 0.20.
OpenGL rendering is off by default, you can turn it on under Setup -> Appearances and then restart mythfrontend to enable the setting.
